TECHNOLOGY

A commercially proven way to turn waste into synthesis gas — and synthesis gas into value.

Advanced Thermochemical Recycling (ATR) is the core technology behind everything ETGAS builds today and will build tomorrow. It's been in commercial operation since 2010, refined across four generations of hardware, and validated on waste streams most gasification technologies can't handle.

HOW IT WORKS

High temperature process

A two stage entrained flow autothermal gasification process operating at low pressure and temperatures above 1,300°C ensures ultra clean tar free syngas at any feedstock combination.

Ash melting in-situe ensures an end-of-waste process with no costly process residues.

High purity no-tar syngas enables power generation option today and synthetic fuel production in downstream process.

WHY IT WORKS

What the high temperature buys us

Tar-free syngas

Operating above 1,300°C — cracks tars and other pollutants in the reactor itself, removing a complex subsequent syngas processing steps that affects most gasification technologies.

End-of-waste ash

No fly ash residuals, all ash is vitrified inside the reactor, coming out as an inert, glass-like aggregate material rather than a second waste stream needing its own treatment and disposal route.

No external energy input

Being an autothermal process, besides feedstock itself no external energy input is necessary to sustain the required high temperatures, allowing to keep operating costs down.

Low plant footprint

High temperature entrained flow gasification reactor ensures high feedstock throughput capacity, allowing plants to be situated in space constrained project sites.
